“It doesn’t matter where you are, you are nowhere compared to where you can go.” ~ Bob Proctor
More than anything, I pray that you are well.
I pray that you are more than just “fine,” like you have spent many years of your life telling people.
I pray that you have found what makes you happy, and you are doing that every single day.
I hope you have a job that makes you want to get up at 6am.
I wonder if you have moved out of Indiana, yet.
I hope you still lead a life that reflects Jesus.
More than anything, I pray that you are well.
If you are married:
I trust that you made the right choice.
If you have kids:
I hope you are the best mom you can possibly be. I also hope you are making it through all the “I told you(s),” from the family members who were convinced you weren’t having children based on the amount of times “I WILL NEVER HAVE CHILDREN,” came out of your mouth. I hope that they fill your life with joy and laughter. It is my genuine prayer that your kids know and love Jesus just as much as you do, and that they understand the reason why you talk about Him so often. More than anything, I pray that they are well.
Dear future me:
If you are not married, and do not have kids: you are doing JUST fine. These circumstances do not make you any less successful than those who do. Maybe you do not have these things, but I am sure you are still living such a full life. I hope that you are traveling the world as you have always dreamt of doing, and while you are traveling, I hope you are taking an extra second or two to admire the smaller things of this life. I hope you are reconnecting with friends who have help mold you into who you are as you read this maybe 5…10..15 years later. I hope you are giving thanks where it is due, and you are apologizing where it is necessary, even when you don’t think you should. Despite the fact that you may not have children, or a husband, I hope you have picked a family that loves on you and cherishes you just as much. I hope that family makes you laugh out loud, and wipes every tear that may fall down your face.
More than anything,
I pray that you never forget me: the 19 year old who so desperately looks forward to meeting you.
