I’m only 19 but if there is one thing I know, it is this: I do not ever want to stay in one place for a long time. I can see myself always wanting to move, explore, and see new things.

Roman Payne says it best when he said  “A person does not grow from the ground like a vine or a tree, one is not part of a plot of land. Mankind has legs so it can wander.” 

There are so many different things I get from Payne’s quote. He is validating my desires to wander. He is validating my belief that we are MADE to discover new things, and new people that develop into new relationships. We are not made to stay in one place forever.

There are so many people around me that so desperately look forward to settling down, building a little family, and planting their roots. I so desperately look forward to the day I can show up at an airport, pick a place, and go. Sure, a husband, and a little little (like one child, MAYBE) little family sounds nice, but my heart is at a place right now where I have seen, and experienced enough to know that this life is all too short to just stay forever in one place.

This is my outlook on being in one place for long periods of time: you miss out. Sure, you have things that fill your life, and do so to your every expectation. BUT, you miss out on different opportunities that you may have found elsewhere, you miss out on relationships that are empty without YOU because I am a huge believer that there are some things in this world that will always be empty without YOU, there will be things your eyes have never seen, and no one else in this world was privileged to have your eyes, and your mind, so, spoil yourself.

Be adventurous. Be brave. Be courageous. Be different. Be bold. Be daring. Be nothing less than yourself. Life is all too precious to do anything less than your hearts desires.

We have heaven waiting for us…where we can stay forever.
